“Baywatch” star Donna D’Errico shut down critics who called her many things, including that she’s “too old to wear a bikini,” after she posted a video on July 4 to Instagram wearing a “red white & blue” swimsuit.

The 54-year-old actress recently took to her social media account and had a message for those that didn’t like her scantily clad American flag-themed two-piece swimsuit video. In the post, she shared a second bikini photo in which she was wearing nothing more than a white and pink two-piece suit while squatting on a table.

She captioned her post, “Quite a few women complained about the 4th of July video I posted in a red white & blue bikini because they thought I was ‘classier than that’ and ‘too old to wear a bikini’ and, my favorite, ‘desperate.’”

“Let me tell you something that might surprise you,” she added. “I can actually wear and do literally whatever I want. On that note, here is me in a bikini squatting on a coffee table.”

“For all those asking, no I didn’t remove the red white & blue 4th of July video,” D’Errico continued. “It’s still up under the ‘reels’ tab on my page.”

In the original post shared by People magazine, the “Baywatch” alum posted a smiling video wearing a little more than a Stars and Stripes red and white string bikini. She posted a message for her followers that read, “Happy 4th of July everyone!”

The actress is best known for her part on the iconic “Baywatch” TV show alongside such stars of the show as Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff. She starred on the iconic series from 1996 until 1998, the outlet noted.

Taking a look through the “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star’s social media account, it is filled with various red carpet photos showing her wearing glamorous dresses to bikini shots and even more racy outfits.

She was previously married to rocker Nikki Sixx for 11 years before the two divorced in 2007. The two share one daughter together. D’Errico also has a son.
