Instead of backing down or apologizing, Brittany Aldean is turning her feud with leftist country stars into a merchandising opportunity.

The wife of musician Jason Aldean doubled down on her position against certain medical treatments for transgender youth by debuting a Barbie-inspired clothing line via Instagram. The limited release features shirts and a sweatshirt emblazoned with the phrase “Don’t Tread On Our Kids.”

“Per usual, my words have been taken out of context over the last week,” Aldean shared in the caption. “Instead of getting twisted about the twisting of my words, I’ve chosen to bring some good out of it.”

She mentioned that a portion of sales will go to Operation Light Shine, which helps fight child exploitation and human trafficking. The collection is being sold at the brittanyandkasi.com store under the collection “TOMBOY.”

This all comes after the controversy last week when Aldean posted a video caption saying, “I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life.”

Her statement caused critics to react harshly, as The Daily Wire previously reported. Country star Cassadee Pope replied saying, “You’d think celebs with beauty brands would see the positives in including LGBTQ+ people in their messaging. But instead here we are, hearing someone compare their ‘tomboy phase’ to someone wanting to transition. Real nice.”

Maren Morris added her two cents, saying, “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”

But Aldean didn’t back off. She posted a photo of herself with the caption, “I love y’all, that’s all.” Many fans voiced their support and agreement with her original comments. Her husband Jason left a comment saying, “MY Barbie!!”

Aldean also clarified her original statement. She said, “Advocating for the genital mutilation of children under the disguise of love and calling it ‘gender affirming care’ is one of the worst evils,” she shared in reply to all the criticism.

“I will always support my children and do what I can to protect their innocence,” she continued. “Some parents want to be accepted by society so badly, that they’re willing to make life-altering decisions for their children who aren’t old enough to fully comprehend the consequences of those actions.”

“Love is protecting your child until they are mature enough as an adult to make their own life decisions,” Brittany concluded. “Thankful my parents allowed me to go through my tomboy phase without changing my gender. Until then, leave children alone!”
