“WAP” rapper Cardi B and her husband Offset are finally ready to reveal details about their 7-month-old son.

The performers shared the baby’s name and photos on their social media in the days leading up to a cover shoot they did with Essence magazine. E News reported that the issue will “highlight the profound endurance of love” plus will share more family portraits.

Offset put his son’s unique name on Instagram, writing “WAVE SET CEPHUS” alongside an adorable photo of the baby in a bath. Sticking with their brand of extravagance, even for young children, the little boy is wearing a huge necklace, too.

“When Set suggested Wave, I was sold! THAT HAD TO BE HIS NAME !” she put on Twitter alongside a video of a piece of a necklace bearing his name.

Cardi B shared a different photo to her 127 million Instagram followers. This snapshot featured Wave donning a baby blue beanie, little fur jacket, sneakers, and a silver chain around his neck. She added dinosaur, wave, and teddy bear emojis as the caption. Many fans pointed out the boy’s resemblance to his older sister, Kulture, in the comments.

Later, Cardi shared snaps from the Essence photoshoot, which included the whole family, including Offset’s other children Jordan, Kody, and Kalea. Each has a different mother.

“We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son,” Cardi and Offset told E! News in a joint statement when the baby was born. “He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”

Even before Wave came along, Cardi had reflected on how much motherhood has shifted her perspective. She did so in her signature vulgar way while explaining the change.

“I could shake my a**, I could be the most ratchet-est person ever, I could get into a fight tomorrow, but I’m still a great mom,” Cardi told Vogue in December 2019.

“All the time I’m thinking about my kid. I’m shaking my a**, but at the same time I’m doing business, I’m on the phone with my business manager saying, make sure that a percentage of my check goes to my kid’s trust.”

Cardi B has been a controversial figure in the media for years. She’s dabbled in politics, which got her roasted on Twitter after The Hill published an article featuring her analysis of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

“I actually want to say a lot of things, but I’m just gonna mind my business because sometimes I feel like I have such a big platform that if I don’t say the right things I might get killed,” the “Bodak Yellow” rapper said in the video. “I’m really not on NATO’s side. I’m really not [on] Russia’s side. I’m actually in the citizens’ side, because at the end of the day, the world is having a crisis right now. There’s inflation not only in America, but everywhere in the world. It’s really hard to get the economy back up. There are so much shipments and embarkments backed up. China’s not really messing with us, so a lot of things are behind, a lot of goods are behind. And this s*** just made it way more complicated. I’m just really annoyed by this, and I really wish that all world leaders right now just really come with a logical conclusion. But, whatever.”
