Actress Gina Carano was brought to tears during Wednesday evening’s Daily Wire Backstage event — when the audience delivered a standing ovation in her honor.
Carano, fresh off her western drama “Terror on the Prairie,” was seated in the audience — and when co-CEO Jeremy Boreing introduced her, she stood up and waved. The audience exploded with applause, and many of them stood with her as the applause just kept going.
Carano turned to face the audience as the applause continued, raising her hand to her mouth and clearly tearing up as she took it all in.
Boreing also praised Carano for her work on “Terror on the Prairie,” noting that The Daily Wire had jumped at the chance to work with the former MMA fighter immediately after Disney attempted to cancel her. He noted that he didn’t know what her political leanings were — and he promised not to ask her in front of the audience — and he said that what was important was that she was dedicated to working hard and making good content.
Carano teased her appearance — and the Daily Wire Backstage event — in a tweet Wednesday afternoon.

When the applause eventually died down and people returned to their seats, Boreing introduced one Carano’s “Terror on the Prairie” costars, actor Nick Searcy, and promptly threatened to leave the stage if anyone applauded the “Justified” actor.
