The hosts of “The View” make no secret of how they feel about anything. Each member of the panel takes turns sharing their point of view, especially when it comes to COVID-19 and vaccines.
Co-host Ana Navarro-Cárdenas made her position abundantly clear on Twitter this week. There, she shared a status update while promoting a provocative candle company she loves.
“I love @gayguycandleco’s products,” the political strategist shared. “Unless you have a LEGITIMATE medical reason, if you’re not vaccinated, I don’t want to see you, talk to you, work w/you, socialize w/you or know you. It’s enough. Your ‘personal freedom’ is holding the rest of us hostage. It’s selfish and stupid.”
She shared this along with a photo of a candle bearing the message: “If you’re not vaccinated, get the f*** out of my house.”
I ❤️ @gayguycandleco’s products.

That Gay Guy Candle Co. sells an array of candles with edgy, explicit messaging. Some other offerings include holiday-themed candles that say, “Merry F***ing Christmas” and “I Saw Mommy Kissing Mrs. Claus.” On their website, the Michigan-based company says they were founded in 2020 to, “promote visibility and inclusivity.” The values statement says, “Our products may offend at times, but they are rooted in love and lightheartedness.”
And “The View” hosts have been vocal in sharing their true feelings about vaccinations all along. Earlier this month, Sunny Hostin applauded businesses who gave ultimatums to unvaccinated workers even without a federal mandate to do so.
The Daily Wire reported that co-host Joy Behar led a discussion on Kroger’s plan to charge unvaccinated workers $50 more per month for their health insurance plus put an end to sick pay for unvaccinated employees who contracted COVID-19.
“There has to be consequences,” Hostin said in response to Kroger’s announcement. “Because this is a public health crisis. I’ve heard so many people say, ‘If you’re vaccinated why do you care if I’m not vaccinated?’ Because it’s becoming a superbug because you’re not vaccinated, because you’re not doing the right thing.”
In November, former “Fox & Friends” host Jedediah Bila visited “The View” and the conversation over vaccines got heated. The hosts slammed Bila for not being vaccinated despite her having a medical exemption from a “team of doctors.”
“I am not anti-vax,” Bila told the panel. “What I really want is for people to make these decisions for themselves. However, I do oppose mandates.” This statement elicited an audible groan from one of the co-hosts.
The “Fox & Friends” star said the COVID-19 vaccine “does not prevent you from getting COVID and does not prevent you from transmitting COVID.”
“Oh my goodness!” Behar replied. “No, that’s not so. You’ve been at Fox TV too long,” she said over the applause of the audience.
“I don’t understand why you would choose to prioritize your personal freedom over the health and safety of others,” Hostin said to Bila.
“I don’t think we should allow this kind of misinformation on our website,” she continued.
“I am prioritizing my health,” Bila retorted.
“Over the health and safety of other people,” Hostin insisted.
“The View” hosts quickly headed to break after the exchange.
