Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly loves to cook homemade meals. Her reputation is so well known amongst the Beltway that in 2019, a reporter for The Washington Post opined that she was proof that women could be both skilled in home economics as well as politics.

While the quality of Harris’ culinary skills is unknown, it is evident that she loves to dish up word salads as vice president when speaking to the press and supporters.

“What’s a ‘word salad’?” you might be asking.

According to Google’s official dictionary of choice, a word salad is “a confused or unintelligible mixture of seemingly random words and phrases.”

Sadly, Harris has offered a buffet of “word salads” for American voters to choose from since taking office.

For example, in December 2021, during an interview with NBC News’ Craig Melvin, she offered an entirely nonsensical response when asked about the Biden administration’s COVID-19 strategy.

Here’s how Harris answered that question, in full:

“It is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day. Every day it is time for us to agree that there are things and tools that are available to us to slow this thing down. And so right now, we know we still have a number of people that that is in the millions of Americans who have not been vaccinated and could be vaccinated and we are urging them to get vaccinated because it will save their life.”

The response truly must be seen to be believed:

Now, you will note that Melvin did not respond with what any normal person might have asked, which is, “Pardon?” or “Excuse me, Ma’am, you made zero sense. Are you in need of medical attention?”

At the very least, Melvin could have offered Harris some of Tessemae’s Vegan Ranch dressing. Perhaps the cool, refreshing taste would have made her word salad more palatable.

Beyond the pandemic, Harris has also rambled about her knowledge of cardinal directions while in Europe.

Harris, as a special representative of the United States, was attempting to seek a peaceful end to Russia’s war in Ukraine. While that endeavor failed, at least we knew where Harris stood at the time on the issue — literally.

“I am here, standing here on the northern flank, on the eastern flank, talking about what we have in terms of the eastern flank and our NATO allies, and what is at stake at this very moment, what is at stake this very moment are some of the guiding principles…”

Harris said the word “flank” three times and the word “stake” twice in that answer.

Some listeners might have walked away with a hankering for flank steak after hearing her speak. And given that many flank steak marinade recipes call for balsamic vinaigrette, it’s worth mentioning that Tessemae’s has a delicious Organic Balsamic vinaigrette, found here.

Just make sure you leave the marinade on for a long enough time so that the meat really pops with flavor, then throw it on a salad topped with your favorite dressing from Tessemae’s.

Speaking of time, that’s a rather significant concept, is it not? Well, according to Harris it is. Before a school-age audience, Harris pondered the meaning of time.

“We were all doing a tour of the library here and talking about the significance of the passage of time, right?” Harris said while promoting internet access in rural areas. “The significance of the passage of time. So when you think about it, there is great significance to passage of time. There is such great significance to the passage of time when you think of a day in the life of our children.”

We’re not going to attempt to decipher what she was trying to say, but it does call to mind the fact that sometimes you’re simply short on time for dinner. Fear not, here’s a delicious recipe for black bean tacos with Tessemae’s Avocado Ranch. You can whip up these bad boys with ease on any given Sunday and provide your family with a real crowd-pleaser. You’ll need Tessemae’s Organic Lemon Garlic, which can be bought here.

Those flavors, like all of Tessemae’s products, work really well together to make a fabulous meal. On that note, working together is something Harris loves to promote. She recently uttered the phrase five times in less than 30 seconds.

“Which is why we will work together, and continue to work together, to address these issues, to tackle these challenges, and to work together as we continue to work operating from the new norms, rules, and agreements, that we will convene to work together … We will work together,” Harris told the US-ASEAN (Association of Southeast Nations) Special Summit in Washington, D.C. on May 15.

Sometimes when working together on projects, you have to be ready to be “on the go” to get the job done. Tessemae’s has you covered for those moments with “to-go cups” in a 3wide variety of flavors for you all salads, sandwiches, and more.

Those were just a few word salads that Harris has created over the last year and a half. The bad news is that there will likely be dozens more as she continues her career in politics.

The good news is that for every bad Harris answer, there is a delicious salad dressing, condiment, or sauce from Tessemae’s that your family will love. Get them here.
