Mary Trump, the leftist niece of former President Donald Trump, blasted Susan Sarandon after the actress ripped the Democratic Party for “sitting on their hands for the last two years.”

Trump was speaking on the MeidasTouch podcast on Thursday.

“She’s a complete idiot,” Trump raged, according to Business Insider. “She doesn’t know what she’s talking about, and if anybody can say with a straight face that the Democrats are the problem, I don’t know what to tell them.”

“She was pretty decent in a couple of movies a couple of decades ago, but politically she’s a moron,” Trump snapped.

Sarandon had reacted to a tweet from leftist California Congressman Eric Swalwell in which he stated, “There is one and only one way to preserve #RoeVWade and protect a women’s right to choose and that’s to #VoteBlueIn2022.”

“A lot of good that did in 2020,” Sarandon responded. “Dems are going to use this to fundraise and get you to vote for them again despite sitting on their hands for the last two years. Instead of actually standing for anything, their only strategy is scaring you into voting blue.”

“I cannot even tell you how much it enrages me,” Trump said. “She’s an idiot, but she thinks she’s some wise shaman or something.”

“Trump said the actress was a victim of the ‘Dunning-Kruger effect’ — a cognitive bias in which people with low ability overestimate their capabilities,” Business Insider noted.

In 2020, Mary Trump’s book “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man” was released. Former President Trump’s younger brother Robert had argued in court that publishing the book would violate confidentiality agreements members of the Trump family agreed to in 2001 in order to settle an inter-family dispute over inheritance.

The book’s description stated, “In this revelatory, authoritative portrait of Donald J. Trump and the toxic family that made him, Mary L. Trump, a trained clinical psychologist and Donald’s only niece, shines a bright light on the dark history of their family in order to explain how her uncle became the man who now threatens the world’s health, economic security, and social fabric.”

In February, Sarandon sparked rage on social media after she mocked the massive funeral procession along New York City’s Fifth avenue for slain NYPD officer Jason Rivera, 22, by tweeting, “I’m gonna tell my kids this is what fascism looks like.”

That caption accompanied a photo of the funeral procession. Above the photo, she taunted, “’So, if all these cops weren’t needed for CRIME that day, doesn’t that mean they aren’t needed ANY day?”

Rivera and his partner Wilbert Mora, 27, who also died, were ambushed and shot in Harlem while responding to a domestic call.

Social media expressed their anger: The Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York responded, “This is what privilege looks like: a wealthy actress, safe in her bubble, mocking heroes & making light of the crisis that cops are battling alongside our communities. NYC is uniting to stop the violence — @SusanSarandon is living on a different planet.”

The National Fraternal Order of Police added, “Of all the days for @SusanSarandon to share her true feelings towards police, she picks the day we bury our fallen brother to make such inflammatory & brainless comments. When you spend more time hating on cops than you do your own career, it’s no wonder why you’re a D-list actor.”

New York GOP Congressman Lee Zeldin: “Congratulations, Susan Sarandon! You’re now the poster child of an angry, woke, liberal, pro-criminal, anti-law and order jerk. There are other more fitting titles, but it only gets more vulgar from here.”

Sarandon later apologized for her February tweet.
