Actor Mark Ruffalo was hit with a backlash on social media when he honored Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum, who were fatally shot while attacking teenager Kyle Rittenhouse last year.

Ruffalo slammed a “racist system that devalues Black lives” when honoring Huber and Rosenbaum, whom the “Avengers” star referred to as “JoJo.” Rosenbaum was charged with child sex crimes of boys, ranging from ages 9-11 years old, and ultimately was sentenced to ten years in prison in a plea deal.

Notably, Huber, Rosenbaum, and Rittenhouse are all white. Moreover, Rosenbaum is on video repeatedly shouting the N-word while at the riot in Kenosha.

“We come together to mourn the lives lost to the same racist system that devalues Black lives and devalued the lives of Anthony and JoJo,” Ruffalo posted to Twitter, Friday.

“After all we have seen and heard about these weapons of war, these killing machines, there is no doubt that people who faced this young man were more afraid of him than he was of them,” he claimed. “He was the one with a weapon of war, loaded and ready to be used on people.”

“Justice weeps bitterly today,” the actor added. “We are coming together to heal the scars left by the wounds of this grief. We will care for each other and remember why we continue to march.”

“Do you normally use cutesy pet names for child rapists?” Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh replied to Ruffalo.

“You are a sick man, Mark,” wrote legal commentator Viva Frei. “Truly sick. But thank you for letting us know who you are, by using the loving nickname of a child anal rapist in your heartfelt eulogy to him. While exploiting the cause of African-Americans to do so. Absolutely disgusting!”

“You call a child rapist ‘JoJo?’” questioned country music star John Rich. “Copy that, Hollywood.”

“Jojo raped children, Mark,” commented legal outlet Rekieta Media.

“This is the left,” Donald Trump Jr. posted. “Using cutesy nicknames for multiple-time convicted child molesters. ‘JoJo’ is a POS pedophile who sexually assaulted five young boys between the ages of 9 and 11 & somehow got out of jail, but he’s a really good dude who’s just misunderstood. F*** these people.”

Left-wing fact-checking site Snopes has confirmed Rosenbaum’s sex child crimes:

For example, yes, at age 19, Rosenbaum was sentenced to prison for sexually abusing five children — all boys between the ages of 9 and 11 — in Arizona’s Pima County in early 2002, according to his case file obtained via a public records request by Snopes.

The documents said Rosenbaum was temporarily living with the boys’ parents after his mother had kicked him out for disobeying her rules about one month earlier. Over the course of his weeks-long stay, Rosenbaum molested the boys, showed them porn, and performed oral sex on them, among other offenses, the documents showed. He was sentenced to prison for roughly 15 years, and authorities believed at the time “his risk to recidivate being of great concern to the community” considering the victims’ gender and age. (Let us note here: The records included an interview with Rosenbaum in which he said his stepfather sexually abused him and his brother on an almost daily basis when he was a preteen.)

Considering that evidence, the claim that Rosenbaum at one point was convicted of sexually abusing at least one child before his death was true.

Rittenhouse on Friday was found not guilty on all charges stemming from the night of August 25, 2020. The teenager fatally shot two rioters and injured a third when he was attacked.
