A Florida sheriff is slamming a woman who allegedly killed her pet Chihuahua by drowning the dog in her pool last October.

Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey recently posted a video to social media of a woman holding her dog underwater. Ivey cut the video of the incident, which occurred last fall, but included a clip of him walking suspect Erica Black into jail on charges of animal cruelty. The 32-year-old woman was already being held in jail on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing a 68-year-old man twice, SpaceCoastDaily.com reported.

“This woman, Erica Black, is without question the most despicable excuse for a human being I’ve ever seen in my life,” Ivey said in the video.

“The video of her drowning her chihuahua is the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” he added.

Ivey also pledged to keep Black in his jail for the rest of her life.

“I’m not going to show you the entire video because it is so graphic and so disgusting, it makes me sick,” Ivey added in the video. “There’s a special place in hell for this woman, and until she gets there, she’s going to rot in our jail.”

The sheriff even ended his video with a message targeted specifically at Black.

“You know, usually when I’m walking people in, I have something to say to them,” he said. “I’m disgusted by you.”

The sheriff’s office also warned that other potential animal killers will also be taken to the slammer should they attempt to kill their pet on Ivey’s turf.

“IF YOU DROWN YOUR DOG IN A POOL SHERIFF IVEY IS GOING TO PERSONALLY WALK YOUR BUTT INTO JAIL!!” the Brevard County Sheriff’s office said in a Facebook video post.

Florida sheriffs have recently built quite a reputation for themselves as being straight-talking no-nonsense enforcers of the law.

In May, Sheriff Grady Judd in Polk County, Florida, told reporters, “If you come to a school in this county, armed, we’re going to do our best through either our guardians, our school resource officers, or our school resource deputy sheriffs to eliminate the threat outside of the school before they ever get to the children. We’re trained to do that.”

“This is the last thing you’ll see before we put a bullet through your head if you’re trying to hurt our children,” Judd added, while holding a picture of two police officers carrying firearms. “We are going to shoot you graveyard dead if you come onto a campus, with a gun, threatening our children or shooting at us.”
