When Felicia Marie Johnson, 24, went to Houston, Texas, she hoped to get a job at a nightclub, but now she can’t be found.

Johnson, a California native, reportedly got in a car with a man after leaving the Cover Girls Night Club because she didn’t want to wait any longer for an Uber she had called. That was on April 15, the last time she was seen. Now, her phone has been discovered covered in blood, CNN reported.

“Felicia has not been seen since. No cell phone activity, no credit card activity, no social media activity. She has absolutely just vanished off the face of the earth,” Quanell X, a community activist helping Johnson’s family find her, said at a press conference.

The Houston Police Department is investigating the disappearance as a missing persons case and didn’t say if foul play is involved. However, a private investigator hired by the woman’s family reportedly made a big discovery, finding her cell phone covered in blood on the side of a road 15 minutes from the nightclub.

“I think it could have been from her fingernail or from a struggle or something like that,” Kevin Johnson, Felicia’s father, said of the bloody phone, according to Click2Houston.

Mr. Johnson flew from California to look for his missing daughter. He said he went to the nightclub to ask the manager some questions but was turned away. He’s now accusing the establishment of abducting girls “that come from out of state.”

“I think they have something to do with it. I think they have some arrangement with these men to abduct these girls that come from out of state,” he said.

The father said he won’t stop until he finds his missing daughter. “I’m trying to hold myself together and stand strong for the family and for you,” Johnson said. “And I won’t rest for a day in my life until I have you back. It’s a tragedy that you’ve been caught up in this.”

Texas EquuSearch, a volunteer horseback search and recovery team, searched the area where Felicia’s phone was found Thursday morning, but the group has not reported any more findings. Police also had dogs on the scene, looking for more clues, but found nothing.

The volunteer search group and the family are asking for the public’s help in finding the missing woman. “Felicia has long black hair (it may be curly or straight), brown eyes, and a dark complexion. She has a large tattoo of a butterfly and two roses on her right shoulder,” a flyer reads. “If you have seen Felicia Johnson since her reported disappearance, if you know of her current whereabouts, or if you have any information whatsoever concerning Felicia’s disappearance, please call the Houston Police Department at (832) 394-1840 or Texas EquuSearch at (281) 309-9500.”
