It didn’t take Will Smith too long to recover from his viral moment at the Oscars where he struck Chris Rock onstage; within hours he attended the Vanity Fair post-ceremony bash where he danced and rapped along with his biggest hits including “Summertime” and “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” while also taking selfies and receiving high-fives from the crowd.

Smith also referenced his birthplace of Philadelphia and his wife Jada’s hometown of Baltimore as he wrote on Instagram, “You can’t invite people from Philly nowhere.”

“Jada was also seen dancing and laughing on the side as her husband performed in front of guests at the bash that included Serena and Venus Williams, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Dakota Johnson, Kevin Costner, Chris Pine, Olivia Coleman and Natalie Portman,” The Daily Mail reported. “Chris Rock was expected to attend but changed his plans after the attack, reportedly because Smith had an entourage of at least 20 people going with him.”

Smith’s lashing out at Rock after Rock made a joke about Smith’s wife elicited some condemnation; Rob Reiner tweeted: “Will Smith owes Chris Rock a huge apology. There is no excuse for what he did. He’s lucky Chris is not filing assault charges. The excuses he made tonight were bulls***.”

But Smith’s son Jaden Smith, 23, tweeted: “And That’s How We Do It.”

Rapper 50 Cent echoed, “B!** don’t you ever play with me. LOL.”

He added, “You have to win Oscars to do this kinda s***. after i win i’m gonna slap the s*** out of a few people. LOL.”

The Daily Wire reported on Sunday night what happened on stage:

Will Smith shocked everyone Sunday night at the 94th Academy Awards show after he walked on stage and struck Chris Rock right in the face after Rock cracked a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair loss.

During a segment at the Oscars, the 57-year-old comedian remarked about how no one was wearing a mask in the theater before he turned his attention to Denzel Washington and praised him for his part in the movie “The Tragedy of MacBeth.” The superstar comedian then spotted Will Smith’s wife in the audicen and cracked a joke about how Jada was going to be in the next “G.I. Jane” movie.

“Jada, I love ya,” Rock told the audience. “G.I. Jane 2 movie, can’t wait to see it.”

The “Red Table Talk” host rolled her eyes and appeared to be upset.

Her husband, the “King Richard” star, looked like he too did not appreciate what appeared to be a remark about his wife’s alopecia battle.

The superstar actor got up out of his seat, walked right up on stage, and struck the comedian in the face. It didn’t appear to be a planned move.
