Anthony Fauci continues to promote vaccine skepticism by wearing a mask outdoors even though he is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

New Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for masking state that “fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting.” The only exceptions, the CDC said, are when masks or distancing are “required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.”

Fauci received his first COVID-19 vaccine shot in December along with other health officials. By the end of January, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director was fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Despite his assumed immunity against the virus, Fauci was found masking on George Washington University’s campus this weekend, standing next to two graduates, both without face coverings.

“Class of 2021 graduates ran into Dr. Anthony Fauci while taking photos for #GWCommencement today! What a special #OnlyAtGW moment to round out their time at GW 🎓,” the university wrote on its Instagram, featuring the picture of Fauci in a mask.

Fauci is one of the many “health experts” relied upon by the Biden administration who continues to push stringent COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines even though scientific data suggests otherwise. In addition to flip-flopping on school reopenings, Fauci regularly joins corporate media hosts on TV to threaten Americans that the pandemic won’t end unless they continue masking, physically distancing, staying home, and avoiding community gatherings even if they are protected against the virus.

Last month, Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul said Fauci should be banned from doing TV because he uses his anti-science viewpoints to fearmonger about the pandemic.

“Dr. Fauci should be voluntarily removed from TV because what he says is such a disservice and such fear-mongering, and almost all of what he says isn’t even matched by the science of his own institute,” Paul said on Fox Business. “Really, what we need to do is hear from a lot of different experts.”

Fauci previously doubted that any efforts at creating an effective vaccine would occur within the year. By the end of March, however, Fauci tried to take credit for the swift development and rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine by claiming that fast-tracking the shot creation was the “best decision” he ever made.

“When I saw what happened in New York City, almost overrunning of our health care system, it was like, ‘Oh my goodness,’” he told CNN. “And that’s when it became very clear that the decision we made on January the 10th to go all out and develop a vaccine may have been the best decision that I’ve ever made with regard to an intervention as director of the institute.”
