Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez introduced her daughter Emme Muñiz, 14, using they/them gender-neutral pronouns for a performance at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Emme, daughter of Lopez and ex-husband Marc Anthony, joined the “Let’s Get Loud” singer for a duet at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala when Lopez referred to the teen with the pronouns.

The “Selena” actress reportedly joked that Emme was “very, very busy, booked and pricey,” but “worth every single penny because they’re my favorite duet partner of all time,” Insider reported.

“‘The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won’t,’” Lopez said. “‘So this is a very special occasion.’”

Emme also joined her mother on stage during the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show.

At the Gala on Thursday, Emme rocked a pink getup with a black hat over her short dark hair. She also used a rainbow-colored mic, according to The Daily Mail.

According to a Pew Research Center poll conducted in the fall of 2018, 18% of Americans say they know someone who goes by gender neutral-pronouns.

“Younger adults are more likely than older adults to say they have heard of people preferring gender-neutral pronouns and to know someone who goes by these pronouns,” Pew Research outlined. “Roughly three-quarters of Americans ages 18 to 29 (73%) say they have heard a little or a lot about people preferring nonbinary pronouns, compared with about two-thirds of those 30 to 49 (65%) and smaller shares of those ages 50 to 64 (54%) and 65 and older (46%). Meanwhile, about three-in-ten adults ages 18 to 29 (32%) personally know someone who goes by these types of pronouns, compared with smaller shares of older adults.”

A Harvard-Harris poll from this year showed that a whopping 41% of Americans said “‘kids should be able to pick their pronouns.’”

Unsurprisingly, the poll was split by politics. “Most Republicans, 77%, and Independents, 64%, who took the poll said kids shouldn’t be able to pick their pronouns, while a majority of Democrats, 61%, supported allowing children to determine their own preferred pronouns,” The National Desk reported.

Overall, about 60% of American adults polled said “preferred pronouns” are an “excessive measure that does more to confuse kids about their sex.”

Notably, the gender and transgender craze is particularly popular with Hollywood elites. Numerous celebrities, like Jamie Lee Curtis, Charlize Theron, and Gabrielle Union, have claimed to have transgender children.
