On Tuesday morning, The Daily Wire announced the launch of Jeremy’s Razors. The new razor company is a response to Harry’s Razors pulling their ads from The Daily Wire last year over “inexcusable” opinions— in Harry’s words —  expressed by The Daily Wire on gender.

By Tuesday afternoon, Harry’s was forced by market pressure to respond to their latest competitor.

In a statement given to Spy.com, Jeff Raider, co-founder and co-CEO of Harry’s, maintained that they believed in free speech, but were drawing “the line at hate.”

We created Harry’s to offer better shaving and grooming products for everyone. We believe deeply in free speech but draw the line at hate. We’ll continue to support our customers and community with kindness and compassion.

Spy.com added: “A spokesperson from the brand continued by saying that Harry’s does advertise across various media, including the conservative FOX News; however, the brand does not associate with entities that engage in or endorse ‘hate speech.’”

As The Daily Wire’s “god-king” and co-CEO Jeremy Boreing responded, “I’m not exactly calling for a boycott of Harry’s. Boycotts are feckless. I’m calling for people to buy my razor instead.”

“Well, I’m tired of losing. I want to win. I want to create culture. And I want to have a freaking good time doing it, because losing… Losing sucks,” Boreing said in an announcement video.

“That’s why, today, The Daily Wire is launching Jeremy’s Razors, a direct competitor to Harry’s where people with inexcusable values like mine can get a great razor without giving their money to people who clearly hate them,” he continued.

“It’s why The Daily Wire launched its own film company last year,” he added. “So people with inexcusable values like mine can get great entertainment without giving their money to people who clearly hate them.”

“It’s why The Daily Wire is in the podcasting business and the news and commentary business, and the technology business. Business, not charity,” Boreing added. “We’re a for-profit company. We don’t make our money by complaining and begging. We make our money by building value and selling it to people who think it’s worth buying.”

“The Left is happy to bifurcate the culture, ripping it in two, the “god-king” continued. “They’re convinced there will be no economic consequences for this because, as I said, you need their products.”

“So, to win, we have to rip the economy in two. We have to give conservatives their own companies and their own products to buy. We have to build market alternatives that, in success, will force the Left to take real losses if they don’t compete directly for our business,” Boreing warned.

As The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro explained, “The reason we are launching companies like Jeremy’s Razors is because if corporate America is just going to become an outlet for radical left-wing views, it’s time for non-radicals to find alternatives in every industry.”
