An argument between two football fans turned deadly in the streets of Philadelphia. On Thursday, a 23-year-old man was shot in the back outside the famous Pat’s Steaks in South Philly.

Authorities said both the shooter and victim were waiting in line to order when the argument escalated. The shooter, who was wearing an Eagles jersey, hopped in a van leaving the victim on the street.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he later died. Authorities said the suspect turned himself in hours after the incident, but the driver of the van is still at large. Authorities believe the driver was a female.

“It’s a panicked situation. Everyone ran,” recalled a bystander who wished to remain anonymous. “People ran inside different businesses. People ran different directions. It was crazy.”

This comes as Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney declared a state of emergency on gun violence on Wednesday.
