Yet another major retailer is distancing itself from supermodel-turned-cookbook sensation Chrissy Teigen following revelations she bullied reality star Courtney Stodden over Twitter when she was 16, encouraging Stodden to kill herself.

Retailer Bloomingdale’s was “hours away” to inking a deal with Teigen for a promotional event at the store, the New York Post reported Tuesday, but backed out due to the “toxic press” the recent scandal was generating.

Bloomingdale’s parent company, Macy’s, pulled her “Cravings by Chrissy Teigen” cookware line from its stores earlier in the week, the Post reported.

Target pulled the cooking line in December, but said it was before the scandal broke and done to market a more exclusive brand only available there.

“We made the mutual decision in December to no longer carry the cookware line, given our continued focus on brands we develop and that can only be found at Target,” the company said in a statement to the Daily Wire.

According to the story, Teigen, now 35, told the teen at the time she could not wait for her to die and wanted her to “go to sleep forever,” according to the Post story.

Teigen apologized May 12 on Twitter:

“Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bulls**t in front of the entire world. I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel. I have worked so hard to give you guys joy and be beloved and the feeling of letting you down is nearly unbearable, truly. These were not my only mistakes and surely won’t be my last as hard as I try but God I will try!”

Stodden said the apology was not adequate.

Teigen married actor/producer John Legend in 2013 and the couple have two children, according to her biography on Imdb.com.

She became famous as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and has appeared in every swimsuit issue since 2010, and she is also a bestselling author of cookbooks.

Stodden, now 26, is an actress and formerly married to producer Doug Hutchinson from 2011-2020, according to her Imdb.com biography.

The Sun reported Sunday that Stodden is working on a book that will likely include her experiences with Teigen.
