A video showing 3 pyramid-shaped UFOs said to be hovering over the USS Russell in July 2019 off the coast of San Diego is authentic, according to the Pentagon, as are other recently leaked images of sightings by U.S. Navy personnel, Fox News reports.

“I can confirm that the referenced photos and videos were taken by Navy personnel,” Department of Defense spokesperson Susan Gough told Fox News. “The UAPTF (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force) has included these incidents in their ongoing examinations.”

The news comes as the government is set to release its first-ever report on UFOs this summer.

The 18-second video is the first seen by the public of the incident. The UFOs, which were described as unmanned aerial vehicles were reported to have harassed at least 3 warships during military exercises over several days, Fox News reported.

Filmmaker Jeremy Corbell, maker of the documentary video and still images “Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers,” and George Knapp, chief investigative reporter for KLAS-TV received the leaked video and still images, and independently confirmed they are an unclassified part of classified briefings to the U.S. Intelligence Community on UFOs in restricted airspace.

“This is explosive information,” Corbell told Fox News. “This is probably the best UFO military filmed footage certainly that I’ve ever seen, but I think also that the world has ever seen.”

One UFO in the 18-second video matched the speed and bearing of one of the ships for 90 minutes while performing “brazen” maneuvers, according to the report.

Months before that incident, an FA-18 pilot allegedly took photos on his cellphone of 3 UFOs off the coast of Oceana, 2 of which have been nicknamed the “Metalic Blimp” and “The Sphere.”

They were able to remain stationary in high winds, unlike balloons or drones, according to Mysterywire.com.

Corbell also received 3 leaked photos from another event, said to be from the USS Omaha, that show a “spherical” UFO descending into the ocean without being destroyed. Corbell told Fox, a submarine searched for the vehicle, but did not find it.

“This is an extraordinary piece of technology,” Corbell said. “Whoever is operating these technologies are far more advanced than anything we have in the U.S. arsenal and that should be a warning sign. We need to find out the intent of the operators of these vehicles.”

“These craft are not pushing something out the back to go forward,” Corbell said. “They are gravitationally propelled craft that are transmedium — that can go from space to air to sea without destruction.”

The Pentagon’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF) is currently investigating the aircrafts to determine what they are.

The government’s UFO report, ordered as part of the 2020 appropriations bill signed by President Donald Trump, is set to be released in June.

Former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe told Fox News it will show “frankly, there are lot more sightings than have been made public” and showing “things that we are observing that are difficult to explain.”
