Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) is denouncing Democrat attempts to persecute former Trump administration officials as part of the January 6 investigation. The Republican said on Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi failed to ensure security at the U.S. Capitol before the protest.

Jordan stressed, the partisan committee does not want to investigate that. His comments comes as Democrats are advancing a criminal referral on Steve Bannon for defying a subpoena to appear before their committee.

“How can you expect witnesses to participate when you wouldn’t let Republicans participate in the committee? How can you do that? We know what this is about. It’s plain and simple. They got nothing else to talk about. This is the worst administration in history.”

Jordan stressed Democrats only want to go after their political opponents and trample on Americans’ constitutional rights.
