At least 14 top Democrat officials have been under fire for violating the lockdowns they have imposed on their constituents.
On Monday, reports found Governors Gretchen Whitmer (D-Mich.), Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) and Andrew Cuomo (D- N.Y.) have repeatedly breached their own lockdown orders. Additionally, various other Democrat mayors, governors and members of Congress have shown similar hypocrisy.
Critics have said actions by these officials show the lockdowns had little to do with COVID-19 and may prove to be political power grabs.
Gov. Whitmer was recently photographed violating the state’s restaurant capacity order by sitting in close proximity indoors with a large group of individuals. The order has prohibited gatherings of groups over six people.

Reports have also shown that Republican officials have been largely in line with their own policies over the past year.
